-The Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), a.k.a. "Star Wars" (or, in some circles, the "boondoggle." The laser the US Navy developed I blogged on in July was for airplanes, not missiles.
- "First Earth Battalion."
- "Men Who Stare at Goats" (i.e. Jedi mind trick so hated by Jabba the Hut).
- Will.I.am as a hologram (but more accurately, a simulacrum).
- Pixar special effects.
And the truly, geek-nerdy-over-the-top product:
- a hand held laser whose handle looks an awful lot like a Light Saber that can cause permanent eye damage and burn skin, appropriately called: "Wicked Laser."
