During the presidential campaign, then Senator Obama answered 14 questions from Science Debate 2008 satisfactorily enough to receive applause from the science community.
I try mightily to avoid politics on this blog, but the world is not quite like Star Trek yet: science is in it, OF it and in need of friends in high and influential places.
